It absolutely can do it just not with the PVM messaging. You can change a selector code (3 for example) in the VM to point to 771 (I assume that you have hunt group 1 set up with your three extensions). Now, customer calls and is prompted to press 3 which hunts to your three extensions. Problem is there is no way with that little messaging system for a hunt group to cover to a mailbox.

So would I be correct in saying that if I use either a hunt group or a calling group that there is no way to make it transfer to a mailbox after 3 rings?

Also how would I go about changing a selector code?

According to my documentation after accessing the programing main menu I would go to the day menu, then press 6 to modify, press a selector code for example 3, press 5 for direct extension transfer and then use extension 776, then press *# to approve.

The three phones are in hunt group 6, would the method above work? My documentation doesn't tell me where I will be entering the extension that it will be transfered to at.

Ummm, either you have the wrong documentation or you don't know what messaging system you have. The Partner PVM (PCMCIA card) only has one menu.

I REALLY think you need to find out what you have and what your system configuration is before asking any more questions.

Ok then I was given the incorrect documentation, a coworker handed it to me and said that he thought it would work.

It is the PCMCIA card voicemail.

I really apologize, I am new to this system, and my company is just starting to get me into phone systems. I have worked for this company for only 3 months, and up until very recently all of the work I had been doing was installing cable or cross-connecting extensions.

If you want to learn this sytem I think you need to start by getting the correct documentation for the particular release ACS and Partner Voice Messaging that you have and read it through. Then if you have any questions come back and ask. Full documentation is available for download at the Avaya/support site.

You could loop T&R from station 30 back into a vacant co port and have that co port programed to ring on three phones. If none of the three phones answered the call the voicemail would kick in. The only posable problem might be if station 30 answers and someone at the three phones answers the call then it would be like a party line. but you could overcome that by having 4 phones ring and station 30 not have a physical set. and this should work with any voicemail.
