New to the Magix system. I have loaded WinSPM, but can't figure out how to get any reports. I am looking for the extension status report.
But general info would be appreciated.
Thanks

This is done by using "STANDARD SPM" and doing a "PRINT" of the "Extension Information" for any given extension.
RULE NUMBER 2, "THINKIN' WON'T GET IT, YOU GOTTA KNOW!" RULE NUMBER 3, if you need TIER-3 SUPPORT on a LEGEND or MAGIX, go to http://home.comcast.net/~merlinman -

And while you're in Standard SPM mode, choose Maintenance, Port, Station. When prompted, enter an extension number and press F10. Now choose Test.
After a brief moment, you will get a message that says either "Pass" or "No Response." If it says "Pass", the telephone type will be shown as well.
If the Quick Access of WinSPM is not greyed-out, there is a GUI version of this called "Station Responding Test." Here you can highlight and test multiple extensions rather than testing them one by one.
This is one of several steps I take in order to inventory a switch that is new to me. Aside from software revision and board types, I like to know IF and what type of phone is hanging off those ports.
