What are the various events that would cause you to hear "wave-off" on a Partner?
I can think of a restricted extension dialing a number that is not allowed.
Going off hook on Intercom and dialing only one digit and timing out.
Receiving a voice announce Intercom call while your HFAI is off, pressing SPKR to answer, and not pressing it again when done.
The reason I ask is a customer says an outside call will go to wave-off, and if they are quick they can press the line button again and keep the call.
We've done all the usual, moving lines to different ports, on different modules, rerunning the dialtone feed to their suite, now they are on an IAD from a CLEC.
I'm not too invested in this one, as they brought their own equipment from elsewhere, and moved it themselves, but I can't think of how to duplicate the senario.

The reason I say that is. We have had several customers that we would walk through a #125 that would experience this.

Interesting. Give us a little more detail- when does an outside call go to wave off? How often? What Partner system? (If it's an ACS R7 you KNOW I'm going to say it's a bug. ) Are you sure the wave off is from the system? Have you tried defaulting the processor and programing from scratch? Replacing the processor? -Hal

It's an R6, in Hybrid mode (6-CO's, some 6 button sets mixed in)
I have never witnessed or recreated the problem
It was first described at cut-offs, but one day the cutomer mentioned the wave-off, which I recreated for them by going off hook on Intercom and not dialing a complete extension number.
I have not defaulted and reprogrammed the processor, however a download of the translations and maintenance data doesn't reveal anything. No extensions have any restrictions, there is no FAX extension in Hunt Group 8.
It's just too weird.

The symptoms you describe sound similar to what I recently experienced on a Magix. The trouble began after the customer switched from a traditional PRI to a "flex" PRI from Telepacific using an Adtran IAD.
The circuit was built to have six dedicated voice channels, plus the 24th for signalling. The remaining channels would provide Internet access, but acquiesce for voice purposes as needed. There were lots of complaints about wave-offs and calls randomly dropping in the middle of a conversation.
When I pared the number of B-Channels down to match the carrier's six dedicated/non-flex channels, the problem disappeared completely. Telepacific is currently reviewing their configuration.
Is there a way for you to engage in a similar experiment?

Well, they reported the problem when they were with SBC, and now with the CLEC. The CLEC presents the lines as if they were POTS, so that part should be transparent. When they had SBC we even replaced the cable from MPOE to the switch. I just can't figure out how it is dropping from an active call to wave off.
Thanks for the ideas, any others?
