MWI not working when message left on user mailbox, both MLX and ATL/BIS type sets. Message light feature from operator console works fine. Combo 408/MLX and 408 ATL installed. This is a refurb 4port MLM just installed in Legend r3 set to Key mode.

All four ports answer when called individually. I can't find rotary enable in programming (don't know if it exists in r3). All four ports are in 770 Calling Group.

I think I'm missing something, but don't know where to look. Would it be necessary to upgrade to r7 on the CKE3?

Thanks in advance.

Check to see if 770 is set to Integrated VMS.

Oh, and make sure your stations are in a cover group that is covered by 770.

Rotary enable has nothing to do with MLM-007.

It was provided when the MERLIN MESSAGING was developed (Legend R7 Time Frame) and Account Execs could actually sell a system with NO TTR's.

So, you can rule that out.

Plus the MLM-007 should be compatible with each and every LEGEND 'cause the LEGEND thinks it's an 012 card or maybe a 008-OPT. (Depends...)

You gotta' make sure that there is nothing keeping the LAST PORT in your MLM from being able to "do it's thing".

That is, that's the one that does the lights and stuff.

All that being said, do waht "WireSysPlus" said first and see if that makes it work.

Group Cover has to do with extensions going to Voice Mail but that wouldn't affect MWI.
WireSysPlus might be right on the money though with the Integ. VMI setting.

You may have bad TTRs (Touch Tone Receivers) You can test if you have a T/R Module (012, 008 OPT, etc..)
From a T/R phone, to test TTR #1 dial *04 01 123456789*0# After hitting the # key you should hear a 2 or 3 beep confirmation.
To test TTR #2 dial *04 02 123456789*0#
To test TTR #3 dial *04 03 123456789*0#

The total # of TTRs is determined by the type of modules in the system. 408s have 0, I think there are 2 in an 012 and 2 in the MLM.
If you have a total of 6 TTRs and you try to test for a 7th, as soon as you dial *04 07 you will get a wave off tone.

Merlinman, when you say 'last port', you mean last of the four ports, right? Not the last port of the '012'.

I haven't been back on site since my post. I checked Call Grp 770 members, Grp Cover 30 senders, and Integ VMS before I posted. However, since I ain't perfect, I'll double check 'em.

As for TTR's, I'll test them. I also forgot to mention, that the users do have messages when they check for them.

Could it be an FRL issue on the mwl port? Just thinkin'.

Thanks

Could it be because of the KEY mode setting? If the VM ports grab lines first, instead of Intercom first, they won't be able to set MW lights. Might want to check Auto Line Select for the last VM port (not the last port on the card, but the 2nd or 4th VM port extension)

TTT may very well be on to something.

Depending on your release, the "IDLE LINE SELECT" could very well be on a LINE instead of an SA or INTERCOM button.

Considering that you say you have ATL sets in the mix, this release may be early enough to automatically assign the "IDLE LINE SELECT" to a LINE.

As TTT suggested, check that first.

Good Luck....

That was it. Make a note that Legend r3 v10.3 in Key mode will make Idle Line Selection to a trunk, not an icom.

Thanks to all.
