I am having a problem getting EC500 to work when programmed to call to another internal extension. It was my understanding that EC500 could be used to dial-out to cell phones or could be used to dial-out to other internal extensions. I can get it to work just fine when dialing off premise to a cell phone, but when I try to dial an extension, no luck. I was told to change "trunk selection" from ARS to AAR. That didn't work. Does anyone have any obvious solutions that I happen to be missing?

I am not sure why you would want it to dial an internal extension. Just use a bridge appr. Or are they extensions in different sites?

Ok. I got this to work. The key was to use the trunk group, instead of aar. I am sure AAR will work, but I would have to do more reaserch as to why. Probably need to run a list trace to see whats going on.

The reason we want to get this to work is due to the fact that we run both Avaya and Cisco IP in our environment. We want the Avaya desk phone to call out to the Cisco wireless. The Cisco is only an internal number and can't be dialed into from the outside world. I'll give your suggestion a try and let you know if I get it. Thanks for the help.

It worked. I had to push the call out over the trunk that our Cisco CM is attached to and it worked like a charm. Thanks for your assistance.
