I have a strange issue with an extension that won't forward. Everything works as expected, customer hits F33, display shows Call forward..., customer enters 9 and phone number, but calls to the extension do not forward. Other extensions in the office will forward to same number programmed by same user. It's not a user error issue as I first suspected.
Forwarding and trunk transfer are enabled on the extension. Anyone have any ideas?

First off, Correct sequence is:
9, Tel Number Pound Sign (#).
So, if you have access to this system, do a PRINT of the FAILING Extension, and one that works, and compare the two.
Or, have me go over there on the way to Golden on Monday - - NOT ! - -

Heh... I have to head up to Ft. Collins on Monday morning. I did the print already and they're identical. I just can't see any difference.

BTW - they were doing 9#, I didn't note the sequence we were trying properly in my post.

Does the carrier require a long distance account code to complete that particular call? Can another extension forward to that particular number?

No account codes. Yes, other extensions work fine using the same number and programming process. There has to be a difference, I just can't see what it is.

WinSPM has a "file compare" function in the View reports section - click the "<>" button to just show the differences and highlight them.
There's got to be something different! Maybe Forced Account Code? Worst case situation, move it to another port, renumber the port to keep the extension number, and mark the old port in case you need to use it again in the future.

The fix was dead simple. I just took out the "#" in the string. So, just dialing 9 followed by the phone number works great. That's what I was calling to tell you today Merlinman.
