I have a customer with an old Merlin Plus that had an indoor Bell that rang in the shop when a phone call came in. When I plug the bell into an extension port it rings and will stop shortly then ring again and continues to do this. How can I get this to work with a Partner ACS R7. Thanks

You will need to replace it with something that will work with the Partner systems. Most electronic ringers will work with the Partner's reduced ring voltage.

The bell rings when I plug it into an extension port but I cannot turn it off or get it to control the ringer. Are you saying the low voltage will cause this? Thanks

On a Merlin Plus, the bell worked with DC Voltage.
As Hal said, you need something else for a Partner.
That is, something that responds to RINGING Voltage.
