Hello

ACS 0.6 on a 5 slot carrier with a Vms R5 at right of the main unit

The problem : Yesterday i add this R5 on my system
when the unit boot the light goe Green for few moment Red for 1 sec and green and the small led on the Vms Board lite off ..and nothing happen ..

What could be the cause ?

Unable to access 777

Anything to do at the first install ?

The voice mail ports need to be programmed into hunt group 7, and those vm port extension numbers depend on which other cards are in the system, and which slots they are located in.

So, if you didn't do that programming, 777 won't work.

Also, sometimes the VM cards don't interact well with some older cards, like 206 and 400 cards, and you end up configuring them in an unconvential manner.

78 and 79 are used for the PVM card - reprogram it with the right extensions and you will be all set.

Before i had this kind of card ..

VMS doesn't seem to work ..green light don't stay On after few sec ..

What are the port u use for a VMS ?

78 and 79 are only for the Flash card mail that plugs into the processor. If the VS is in slot 4 (just right of the processor) then add 5 and 6 to the last extension in slot 2. (Example: If your last extension in slot 2 is 33, then your 2 voice ports would be 38 and 39. But programming has nothing to do with the little green LED in the center. If that's not lit, you may have a bad VS.

if my last Extension is 17 so i use 23 & 24 for VMS access ? right.

Never installed Vms before .. it's seem the Unit is Bad . since green light doesn't stay on for long

If this is a 5-slot carrier, put the VS mail in the 1st slot, and of course the ACS in the center slot. If this is a 2-slot carrier, you're OK from here.

Your voice mail ports are 20 through 23
