Yes, it is in Hybrid mode. By looping, if the receptionist does not answer for the the group that has voicemail, after 6 rings you hear the message that you are being transferred. Once transferred, you are transferred to the reception in the other group. If that line is not answered, you keep hearing that you are being transferred followed by 6 rings, in a loop until the reception answers in the second group.

Sorry, I did not answer the second part. I want calls to the first receptionist to end in voicemail rather than transferring to the other receptionist.

Let me ask this, is there a setting to send the caller at reception in the first group (ext 26) to voicemail rather that back to the receptionist in the second group (ext 10)?

The voice mail you have has 5 auto attendants.
You may want to place four lines in one auto attendant and the other four in AA2.
Listen to the last selection in each AA for the zero time out option to a group or ex. no. Change the setting here. Maybe this will work for you. There may be a better idea but this is whre I would start.
As hal said, Are you looping an ex. port back into the AA as a Line number?

If you are using centrex you could transfer back out and in on a line with Line ownership to a mailbox.
In any event there a a few ways to make this work and someone here will find the answer.

Unfortunately setting up a PM R7 is more complicated than just settings, especially for what you want to do. There are also interactions with the switch which also must be programmed properly. It's impossible to know what has been done and why it acts this way simply from your dialog. Obviously errors exist.
It is possible to remotely administer the messaging system but remote connection with the ACS is notoriously unreliable. I would suggest that a mod here contact you about calling into the system to see what they can do about the messaging programming. Then they can try to connect with the switch and if that's not possible perhaps they can walk someone on site through what may need to be done.
So in short, we have pretty much reached the end of what we can do here in this forum.

blklabs: I have learned this mornign that ext. 26 has never had vmail. I also learned that they really do not care if it has vmail, but the cals need to not get routed back to ext 10 if the call is unanswered, it needs to head back to the auto attendant. Sorry for all the confusion.
