Hello All,

We have an R6 Partner ASC. The paging volume seems to be different when using an Engenius cordless analog telephone as compared to the digital set. Also a butt set works fine too.
(Using the Engenius the page volume is too low)

I thought it was an Engenius cordless issue but now hear this.., all regular calls volume out is fine with the Engenius (r6), and we tested with an R7 and the page out volume with the Engenius was also ok.

Any idea what could cause this, and a possible solution?

Thanks!

Probably just the way the Engenius is. I assume that this is something that you can't live with? Only thing you could do then is incorporate a compressor/limiter between the page output and the PA amp or somewhere in the chain. This will automatically control the level and keep it constant regardless of the source.

That is a great idea. I'll look into that. Would you happen to know anything specific that does that off hand?

Sure. Right here.

What you are going to do is reduce or compress the level of the normal audio to the level of the cordless. Now they will be both the same and you turn up the level on the PA amp to where it should be.
