I have a Merlin Legend with Merlin Messaging and am having 2 issues.

Issue 1- is the DSS connected to a MLX20L does not show BLF, but the buttons work to call stations. I checked all of the line cords and they seem to be good. Any idea of why i have not BLF?

Issue 2- The Merlin Messaging is a direct AA, but before the calls go to the AA message, 2 of the phone ring (quick beep). I'm assuming these are a part of a group, but cannot find where. The system is setup as a hybrid.

Issue 1 - Sounds like your system is in HOTEL/MOTEL ES STATUS.

Issue 2 - The 2 phones in questions have the lines set to ring on them. Just turn ringing off on those 2 phones, or better yet, set it for DELAYED RING.

You have to make sure that all 4 pair wired on the 20L phone and DSS connected with RJ45 cable.

We are still having issues with the DSS at this site. The DSS works (tested at other sites) and we confirmed by pressing speaker *00 and all of the light light up.

How do we confirm that the system is not in the Hotel/ES status?

Onese again.For DSS to be fully operational you have to connect 20L Consol with all 4 pair via RJ45.

We definitly have 4 pairs from the system to the MLX20L to the DSS. We have even tried this at the KSU. The DSS works, but no BLFs.

The MLX-20L won't light up or even function if all four pair aren't been used. And since a supplementary transformer isn't required unless a second or third DSS is added, this doesn't look like a wiring problem.

To take the Operator/DLC position out of Hotel mode and return it to Operator/Group Supervisor, choose: Sys Program > Start > Options > Ext Status. Select GrpCall Supv and press Enter.

Does all buttons corresponded to the Ext. numbers? Go System Renumbering, press Moore twice and werify that your 1st row starts with the First ext. number in 50 increments.
