My system is a Definity G3si v11 with Intuity Audix LX.
I have a simple 2500 analog phone. The phone has been wired and ported for years.
I just programmed a new user to the station and added a voicemail. Phone works fine but light will not light.
I have done the following: Booted the port Removed the station and reentered it. Unplugged the phone and replugged it in. Changed all cords and hardware. (A working phone will not light the waiting light)
Yes, there is a message recorded and yes I have the station programmed for LED.
My next possible move it to punch it down to a new port. Any other suggestions?

If you have a working 2500 ext. with voice mail, re-port that (working) extension to the port you are having a problem with. If the MWI fails, then you probably have a bad port. If it lights, then I would do a stare and compare between the extension that works, and the one that doesn't. One other thing. I think if you monitor an analog port on hook that has a message, you will here a pulse click every few seconds.

Issue a status station command for that extension. Does the "Message Waiting" field on the report say "AUDIX" or is it blank?
Other things: Message Waiting Station should be the same as the extension number. Try setting the LWC Reception field to AUDIX (instead of msa-spe).

Yes, there is a message recorded... That might be the issue. Audix will only turn on a light when there is one new message. After that, it will not becuase the light should already be on. So if you log into the mailbox and delete every message, then leave a new message you should see the light. To confirm that audix is trying to light the light run audix command 'disp act XXXX'. When audix turns on a light it will look like this "02/25/08 12:35 mwi-on"
