I have Partner messaging R7....Programmed the weekly business schedule 8-5 M-F...Customer uses the day auto attendant as backup (goes to greeting after 4 rings)...I set up the night menu to 0 rings - no sense in it ringing 4 times at night...Hunt schedule is set to always. Hunt delay is set to 4 rings for day mode ...0 for night...When a customer calls after 5, it plays the night greeting but still answers after the 4th ring...I'm trying to not have the client push the night button at all...Is it possible for this to happen through weekly business schedule....thanks.

Nope, I wish there was a way. But,they will need to push the night service button.

You cannot control the number of rings with the business schedule. That is done with a Night Service button on Ext. 10, and the VMS Humt Delay in #506
If you set up a Business Schedule in the Partner Messaging, that will determine WHICH message plays when the call is answered, and the Night Service button will determine how many rings before the call is answered. That way, if the business closes for lunch, you can turn NS on, have it answer on the 1st ring, but still play a "We're open but can't answer live" message.
Do NOT use the option of "Follow BOTH the Business Schedule AND the Switch Mode" in the Partner Messaging - It does not function properly, never has from the R1, and Avaya has never fixed it or removed it from the menu. It will change modes at unpredictible times.

It works good when you have Exchange running on the server.

You will need to download the Unified Messaging software for the Partner Messaging R.7. and put on your server.
