I ran a cat 5E cable from the SMDR port to the customer PC. I will put a male RJ45 connection on the system side but I am having a hard time getting the cable for the PC side. (DB9 to RJ45?)
Also, once I solve this what are my hyper terminal settings to make sure I'm getting data from the Avaya?

You can go to Radio Shack or equivalent and pick up a DB9 to DB25 cable, but yea like Skip said. Your still going to need an adaptor to go from the DB cable to the patch cable. I usually use the 355AF.
