Hi All, I have a Multitech faxfinder FF420 version 1.02C working with IPO406 ver 4.1(12). After doing the December upgrade to my IPO, all faxes started coming to me as admin, this persisted after doing the March upgrade. I have spoken to MultiTech who referred me to the configuration guide for FF, and everything is in order. None the less, all faxes are coming to me. I have no idea what else to do, any advice?
Thanks!

Look on your faxfinder log...there is a number in parenthesis, that is the digits the IPO is sending... make sure that matches your phone book entries. Post the info from one of the failed entries.

Hi mongo5150 (is that a reference to Blazing Saddles, btw?), here is what they look like, and they all have (T) as the number they tried to send to. Sucessful ones in the past show the Name of the recipient as listed in the FF Phone Book:
Name: POTS Line1(T) Remote ID: "5733022404" Status: pass Fax Direction: (receive) Number of Pages: 1 Elapsed time: 19 Seconds Fax number: T Total Bytes: 18142 Email Attachments: 1 Init Time: 04/10/2008 09:31:21 AM Off Hook Time: 04/11/2008 08:25:37 AM Connect Time: 04/11/2008 08:25:57 AM Resolution: Standard Width: 1728 Height: Variable Baud Rate: 14400 Data Compression: mh Error Correction: on Scan Line Time: 0 Modem Port: 1

yes...it is not recognizing the digits coming from the IPO.
I had this problem once.
I fixed by going into admin, and changing the amount of digits that the FF is expecting, to 7 or something. Then once you save that, put it back to what the IPO is actually putting out.
Try that.

Ok, I tried changing the modem configurations to max DTMF digits of 7, sent a fax and the same thing happened. I changed it back to three and still the same. Am I misunderstanding what I should have done? Do I need to do something on the IPO too?

This is weird, the BP came over yesterday and somehow fixed the problem. We were told that the fax DIDs had somehow had voicemail turned on and that by turning it off, the faxes started working. He also set the number of rings to answer from 2 to 1. I wasn't here yesterday, so today I decided to try an experiment. I turned VM on and set the rings back to 2, and I had no problem receiving a fax. So what was the REAL problem? I also spot checked a few of the fax DIDs, and I didn't see ANY with VM turned on, so unless he went through all 100 of them, which I doubt, I don't see how they all could have had VM turned on. It IS fixed, but I wonder...Anyone have any thoughts on this?

My guess is they changed the DTMF signaling that the IPO sends out to the FF.

Look at your back ups of your cfg's to see what is different. He is probably lying because of how many times I know you made him look bad, and got other things working yourself which he could not. I would not tell him anymore when you fix his issues how you did it unless he is going too pay you his rate.
I can not recommend any technology platform, only technicians!
