I know it does out calling to a telephone or cell. ( not the actual call but your mailbox calls you). I was wondering if this is just like the PArtner MAil VS series were it persistantly calls you till you listen to the message. AM I correct in this! I need to know, because we have to replace a Dr. office voice mail system with some thing. Right now, they are useing a Amanda voice mail system. Thank you, Eric

but wait there's more.HA. Yes, I found it in the good old manual. Haven't seen or opened a box in years. Everything has been PDF. But, my next question is. It's a 12 port card we are going to be using. 12th port does out calling and message lamps. Problem. 24 users have outcalling turned on. Will messages lights , light, will all outcalls go out? If 2 out calls are tring to go out. and one makes it and the other doesn't , then another calls out calls, and blocks then second one again. My question to this is. Does the second call go before the third one? Or is it strickly time based outcalling? My money is on time, which means a call could take alot of tim eto reach out. Correct?

Well, that's not the way the Merlin Messaging works.

Any and ALL PORTS can do the out calling.

Thus, you will need to unrestrict all of them.

Each individual user can set the NUMBER OF TIMES the out calling will be done, from 1 to nine times.

Yes, Messaging Lights will be lit, and if the user listens all of their messages when they receive the OUT CALL, then the lamp will be extinguished.

That also means, more than 1 out calling call can be made at a time.

Thanks Merlin Man. The out call feature and programing has stumped me a few times.

oh, I read in the manual that only the last port in the card, turns the lamps on and off and is the only port that does the out calling. Is the manaul wrong, then? Wouldn't be the first time I seen that!
