Can someone tell me what would be needed to add caller ID to a partner plus system. It has a 206E station and line module and a 4.1 processor. I know I will need to change to a 206EC card but I dont know if the processor card will need to be changed. I am a Mitel technician and dont know a lot about this system. Thanks for any information.

No CID on Partner Plus, you'd have to go to Partner II, which is still old and lacking other recent features, or go to an ACS instead.

Thanks for the help Tommy. That is what I thought. System is working good except for no CID. There not in the mood to replace it so I guess they will live without the CID for a few more years.
Thanks again.

Isn't it possible to upgrade to Partner II simply by swapping the Processor Module?

Yes but your replacing old with old, if your going to upgrade go to the ACS R6 and be done with it.

Even if you downgraded to a partner II. That's what I call it a complete downgrade.
you would still need the 206 EC mods and not the E's
Caller id is a fantasy of the people you would never want to talk to anyhow.

Ditto what TTT and DTMF said............. That Partner Plus or even a Partner II deserves a peaceful retirement.

I agree it is time for this system to retire but it will live on for many years. The owner has 3 of these systems to use for parts and he knows how to do a lot of the programming. As long as he has spare parts this system will keep living for another 20+ years. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.

No caller ID on lines plugged into the 206 unless the 206 is an EC Skip.
