Definity G3r release 7
I have two MOH sources available and neither one is working. At the PPN I have a PC using Windows Media Player shuffling thru songs. The music drops in and out. Oh, it'll work fine as long I'm sitting there watching it. After I leave it quits. Poltergeist? The site where I office has an EPN with an XM Satellite receiver. I can hear the music on my stereo and using my butt set clipped on the port of the AUX Trunk card, but not in the phone system. I should be able to check it by dialing 68 then the port.
Here's how it looks in the switch: Music/Tone on Hold: music Port: 01C1601 That's the PPN location. The EPN is 06A1701
Is there a way to measure that I'm feeding the proper lever of signal into the PBX? We have all the test equipment I need. Just need to know what to look for. Certain level of voltage?

Get rid of the Media Player Using Windows. Then try it with a simple radio source.
It would be nice to know if it is amplified with Background music, page ect...?
Need a tech?

PC/WMP works fine. I've used XM Satellite, an MP3 player, and the PC connected and the same problem plagues all of them. Something in the PBX.
Amplified with background music? No.
Carousel Industries is sending a tech today. We'll see what he can make of it.

Try changing the port on the PBX. Any analog port should work fine.
