Installed a Partner R7, 1st line is going through a "stick" which also feeds a 'shopper track system' . Having problems and was told I had to do an option 9 on Partner. What the heck is option 9 ?

Can you tell us what the problem(s) is/are? Be as specific as possible. Does the problem have something to do with an Avaya Partner Messaging voicemail module?

"The Stick" is a line sharing device. If the system works fine without "The Stick", you may want to consider hooking up the shopper track thingy to a spare station port, if available.
