Partner is probably the worst design of all for heat loss ever made as evidenced by color of most modules.

The power supplies do run hot but that plastic will turn brown all by itself. The heat just helps it along. If installers used common sense as to where they install the KSUs there wouldn't be a heat problem. Temperature should never approach 85 deg F nor go below around 40.

As to your problem, you will probably need to replace those ACSs.

Yep...already replaced 3 of em....Like I said was just trying to get a handle as to what the heck is going on with the things as they are all doing the same exact thing. Still a strange thing going on......thought maybe someone had seen something like it before.....I liked your idea about moving the fans to the bottom though Hal..made sense.

Too bad customers don't seem to care about their phones as much as their computer networks. They can always write things down and do a little arithmetic, (Well, I guess that depends on whether they went to a government school, or a school that really taught them! smile ) BUT they sure can't do ANY business without phones! I've been in 1 count 'em one phone room that was cool. It was COLD coming out of the AC. Believe it or not, a motel! They used a partial suite for phones, catv, hi-speed data service, movies, and pretty much anything that was "'lectronical". But they used the full size P-tac. The Room temp on a 100 degree day was 73 degrees! You could hang sides of beef in there on an 80 degree day! John C. (Not Garand)
