I recently installed a aux. ringer on ext. 108. My ringer is plugged into the back of the set and assumed ext. 7306. The ringer works fine but now I'm getting know V.M. for ext. 108. Any suggestions?

Extension number 7306 suggests that you are working with a Magix or Definity. Please clarify.
I assume you need VM coverage for x108 and not x7306...correct?
For Definity, coverage is achieved by assigning a Cover Path in the Station form. This is often Cover Path 1 where the last point in the chain is Hunt Group 1 (the voicemail hunt group). For Magix, it's a matter of assigning the extension to the voice mail Group Cover list, which is typically Group 30.

I'm sorry. How dumb of me not to mention the system. It's a Legend. It had V.M. on ext.108 until I assigned the ringer from ext. 108 with primary coverage to ext.7306 (the ringer).

Well, you are confusing us big time.
Are you trying to use the AUX Port for 108 as a loud ringer?
If so, do you have an MFM?
If you do not have an MFM I do not see how this can work.
Also, if your extensions are numbered 100 to 1xx in sequence, then 7306 would be associated with 107, not 108.
Let us know what you are trying to do.

Let us know what you are trying to do. Actually it would be associated w/ 106 Lid 1 100 Adjunct 7300 Lid 2 101 Adjunct 7301 Lid 7 106 Adjunct 7306 Lid 8 107 Adjunct 7307 Lid 9 109 Adjunct 7308 However, it's been my experience that Extensions in sequence on a Legend is a rarity.

Last comment on my part, and I'll wait for your response. So regardless of which adjunct number is truly associated with the primary extension, it still ain't gonna ring unless told to do so. Somehow, your VMS coverage got busted and I doubt it had anything to do with the adjunct.
If you're trying to make a bell ring at the same time a phone rings, there are easier ways to do that. For example, tie the bell to an analog extension and advertise THAT extension number for the user. If the user has a single-line phone...well, it's a no-brainer. For a multi-line set, simply put a bridged-appearance of the bell's extension on that phone.
TTT has some cool loop-around tricks, plus there are other ways to do this as well. We all want to help, I assure you fony1. A little clarity is all we need to hook you up.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I do have a MFM. I know it sounds weird, but when I go into maintenance and show ext. 108 and go next. it's ext. 7306,then ext. 109 and so on. I don't have any analog ports so that route is out unless absolutely necessary.Ideally what needs to happen here is the ringer rings when 108 is called and after 4 rings he wants V.M. Sounds simple. I feel stupid. HELP.

OK, we need some clarification.
Is the MFM installed in Extension 108?
AND, since you are saying "MORE" shows 7306, I think you are mixing Apple Sauce with Orange Juice.
I strongly suggest you do a print of "EXTENSION INFO" for 108 and see how it is programmed.

In Maintenance, you put in the extension number of a digital phone, press status, and you see the Logical ID, Slot/Port, and phone type of that digital station. Then when you press F-10 (or Next), you will see the Adjunct associated with that digital station. It has the same Slot/Port, but the Logical ID is that of the digital station +24 (so if you are looking at the 1st extension, Logical ID #01, Slot/Port *0101, the adjunct will be Logical ID #25, Slot/Port *0101).
So, if you found 7306 when you hit Next from 108, that IS the extension number of the MFM.
In Centralized Programming, Ext. 7306, add a Primary Coverage 108 button. Set the Primary Coverage Delay for 108 to 1 ring.
Now the ringer will ring at the same time as 108.
Also, make sure that you have set the jumper if the MFM for a S/L instead of a Supplemental Alert.
