Hey All, is it possible to connect a G3V4 directly to a pc?
if so how .

Yup. You simply use the primary serial connection normally used for the SAT terminal (or use the AUX port with a serial crossover cable) and tie it to your PC's serial port.
On a ProLogix, the connector will be "loose" (a DB25 modular adapter dangling at the end of a cable) somewhere in the wire management looms. On the stackable XE style cabinets, the DB25 connector is built-in to the back of the bottom-most carrier (on the left hand side as you look down from the top). You'll find it, I'm sure.
Use ProComm Plus or other 4410/513 terminal emulation software to talk to the machine.
You might call this the "admin" port, "console" port, terminal port or similar. INADS probably wouldn't be appropriate though as that term is associated with remote Technical Services.
