I need a couple of pointers on getting my number to show on caller ID. I have experience on Inter-tel and others but not much on Avaya. I'm working on a Magix 4.0 v7.0 with a 100D/CSU/DSU-U card in slot 05. The Verizon smart jack says T1. (I haven't heard back from them to verify that.)I believe the office is a DMS-100. I found in programming with WinSPM a place to put the "number to be seen" in the PRI section. I put my number there but it doesn't show-up. Am I anywhere close? Any help will be appreciated.--Brent

If the MAGIX is going to do the NUMBER TO SEND, then there are 2 requirements to make this work.

First off, the CO must accept the number you send.

Second, you have to program that 10 Digit number to each of your lines. (If you have 23 Lines in your PRI, then you have to enter that number 23 times, or, my favorite, build a Macro)

So, that should do it.

I wondered if each channel was a line so I entered the number in lines 1-23. Still no caller ID. How do outgoing calls hit those lines? circular or terminal, from the top or bottom or what? I think my issue is with Verizon. Any other coments welcome. Thanks--Brent

Magix has a Lines numbers starts with 801 and depends on the configurations you have to assign Number to send in PRI set up.

Yeah, I saw that line 1 was 801, line 2 was 802, etc. I entered the "number to send" in each line: 801-823. Thanks-Brent

Brent - After doing that, does it work or not?

If not, it is most likely a PROVIDER issue.

Either way, keep us informed.

One more. Is it 801-823? do you have any 4 x 8, 4 x 12 or 800GS/LS card before slot 5? Can you supply more info about configuration of your switch? besides the outgoing CID does your switch works fine? In my experience Custom setup(5ESS) is working better on Magix then NI2(DMS100).
