Is it possible to backup a rel. 3 acs and restore programming into a rel. 6?

Well, you COULD upgrade that R3 to an R6. The translations will be saved. Then you could backup THAT R6 and restore it to another R6.
Hardly worth the trouble though.

Yep, depending on the size and configuration of the system. Upgrading the old R.3 to a 6 then doing a back-up and pushing it to the new R.6 could save you a lot of time and headache.
