I am working on a Partner 2 with Partner Mail V3.
I programmed a calling group (group 1) for 6 extensions.
When I program the Auto-attendant selectoer code to transfer (Selector code transfer) to 71, and try a test call, after 4 or 5 rings the inbound caller gets the message there is no answer at extension 71 please enter another extension. The calling group never gets the ringing line.
Am I missing something?

Do those extensions ring then after 4 or 5 rings bounce back to the messaging system which answers with "there is no answer at x71"?
Where would you like it to go?

Did you create a "mailbox" for 71 with a COS of 20 (for Transfer Only permissions)?

Hal, Tommy,
No the extensions never ring.
No I did not create a mailbox because they don't want to have the caller leave a message they want the call answered by anyone at those extensions.
I see what you are getting at, the system needs to have the mailbox to allow the transfer to the group, right?
Thanks

Yes. Really a transfer only extension, no mailbox.

Thanks for the help.
I work mostly with Mitel equipment and I am very rusty on the old Partner/Merlin Mail VM's.
I really appeciate the quick resposes.

I had to think about that one too because of the old Partner Mail. But other than having COS and the way it handled the call this would work the same with the current Partner Messaging.

hbiss:
This is kind of crazy as I see that the original message was posted about the same time as I was having a similar problem.
I have a partner ACS with PartnerMail VS 5.0.
I too want the AA to send calls to a group. However, I don't have a problem with ringing. I have a problem if the call is not answered. It bounces back to the operator. Is there a way for me to have it go to one of the extensions in the group after the set number of rings? Or does it have to go the a voicemail box setup for the group? I am using group 3. So, I assume that I have to set up a voicemail box for extension 73, correct? Or can I accomplish something similar using a Hunt Group or Call Coverage?

JR77, Please start your own thread instead of hi-jacking someone else's. It helps us to keep things neat and clean around here. Hope you understand.

Michael:
I will do so. No problem.
Just thought it would be better if I used the previous thread for reference. At least shows that I have looked for my own solution first.
