Hello all,

I have an unresolved problem with both the R6 and R7 Partner Messaging system.

When I use the Messaging Administration software to send a pre-recorded .wav audio file to the unit via the LAN, it gives me an error message that says "The Imported WAVE file contains corrupt audio data length information. Althought this corruption may not resutlt in a problem when the file is played on a PC sound system, it must be fixed before it is transmitted to the PARTNER Mesaaging Syetm." It then says it has "corrected this problem" and asks if I want to accept the corrected file.

Althought the file will then play through the phone system, its quality sounds far worse than the file that was originally sent to the unit, and even worse than the quality of the factory-made voice prompts.

My audio editiing program will output almost any file type or bit rate, but other than requiring a .wav file format, I can't find the info in the user guides or online of what the "native" file type or rate the unit needs.

Can someone help me with this please?

Save a recording from the Partner Messaging, then open it with your audio software. You should be able to see the properties of the file to determine the bit rate and other parameters. Make your own recordings match those settings, and you should be good to go.

Seems to be needing an 8,000 Khz .wav file with GSM 6.10 format. Thanks!

The Partner System will only allow you to upload Wave GSM 6.10 8KHz files. Most of the regular wave files are Microsoft ADPCM. The only thing you can do is edit it. Luckily, Windows XP comes with an editor installed. Here are the instructions;

Go to: Start -> Accessories -> Entertainment - > Sound Recorder

Once the sound recorder opens, open the original file and save it as GSM 6.10.

Tommy, you getting CRS like me or did we both think the Partner Messaging used something else?
