Hi All, happy new year. Client has ACS and had Centrex and switched to Cable companys dial tone.
The used to use a programmed RECALL button and then hit a speed dial for each brokers outside voice mailbox. Not lec voice mail, some independent company. Of course it no longer works without the centrex.
What would you recommend I program to enable them to transfer live callers to the mailboxs?
Thanks Chris

About the best you can do is to call the voicemail and conference the two calls together. Not very efficient and certainly has privacy issues. Nothing is going to easily replace what you had in the past without that insignificant little hook-flash.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

Your client seems to have shot himself in the foot. If the Cable dialtone company cannot provide Centrex-type features, then they're basically screwed. Short-sighted decisions based on saving a bit oof money can really hurt a company.
There's nothing that you can really do to replace that feature and make it work the way it was before.
I had customers that used the Centrex conference feature, and Centrex transfer outside feature---then switched to a PRI. Those features went away. They just had to learn to live without them.
This might be a time when you can upgrade them to a Partner voicemail card. They would like that situation even better than the original situation. Also, they would save money on the subscription VM. Good Luck.

I've been commenting on this for a long time. The cable companies are nothing but "wanna be" phone companies. They claim to have business class voice service but they haven't a clue as to what it is. The features they provide are no different than what they give your aunt Tilly in her apartment and their slick sales people and TV commercials promise you the moon. You get what you pay for.
At this point your two choices are either to switch back to Verizon or spend $$$$ for a Partner Messaging R7.
So now where is your savings?
