Quick question for you guys that still have these. I have one of each at a remote location. I have a data capture device that I'm wanting to hook up so I can get the SMDR records out of them with a Serial to IP device, My question is how do these connect into the system? Is there a certain board? guess I'm lost with out seeing it for myself..

Whats the software version?

If you have a clan board you, can send the SMDR out as IP. If you don't then there should be an octupus cable in the A carrier. You'll connect it there. If I remember correctly, the modem also connects to that cable.

You can use a datamod PDM / 7400 / 8400
earlier posts are describing eia port which will work as well.

On the next form, and hit help on the Primary output field.

change system-parameters cdr
CDR SYSTEM PARAMETERS

Node Number (Local PBX ID): 10 CDR Date Format: month/day
Primary Output Format: unformatted Primary Output Ext: 04066

What CM software versions are your g3 switches?
The processor board provides the interface in CM versions lower than g3v9. g3v9 and higher allow for clan integration (IP).

change ip-services to add CDR ip information

That old is limited to data-module or EIA

Seems like if I remember right, EIA would work if you are not already using it for Communications link to Audix or CMS. EIA link is always dedicated to link 1.
