Something is happening for sure. Cox really needs to put an actual monitor on the circuit for, at least, 24 hours.

Request that they swap pairs for the circuit so that it is delivered on a completely different set of wires.

Cox says they are using NI2 protocal which they say is "pretty standard".
I sent them the error log and read off what the manual says on error 7001: "Check PRI facility and report to service provider; otherwise no action is needed. If problem persists, contact NSAC Tier III".
They are pleading ignorance to what the error means.
Local tech is at a loss at this point too. After new TI card and new processor card, he said the next thing to try would be to reprogram another processor from scratch.

NI2 is not very good for Magix. Better NI1. Why don't you change for 5ESS, Custom? What B-Channel Group # is it? Is the B-Ch Group have info 0701-0723? What means Pattern 72, Delete 1(7) and nothing to add? How far away is Smart jack? If it by the system turn CSU off.

I would estimate the cable run from Cox's equipment to the switch to be about 50 feet. We stuck the rather large fiber cabinet in a storage room and ran cat 5 up and over to the phone room. Seperate T1's for phone and internet come into the fiber cabinet. There is no CSU in between the cabinet and T1 card in the switch. As I recall, we removed the CSU when we were having another issue with a different provider years ago. Coincidentally, that provider had a smart jack right in the phone room, two feet from the Magix. Should I put the CSU back? Sorry, I don't understand the other questions. I will ask our local tech.

I would put the CSU back. It provides another test point.

I think the pattern 72 has to do with our DID numbers and extensions. We have a block of 100 DID's in the range 219-7200 - 7299 with the 200-299 being the extension numbers.

72 Entry is wrong. Should be deleted. System looks at that entry and doesn't know what tom do with it. Might drop a call. CSU is internal test point inthis case. May create an additional problems. There is no significant distance between smart jack and the system and you don't need any signal amplification.

Local tech says Cox is sending us 4 digits, the last 4 of the phone number. We're stripping out the first digit and the switch interprets the remaining 3. I'm pretty sure I don't want to delete that entry. We'd lose the routing on our DID numbers wouldn't we? I'll put the CSU back tonight. I'll also confirm with Cox what kind of switch they're using.
