I've installed MOH on a Merlin Legend but it doesn't seem to work. I understand that this is a simple process, done it before. I've programmed one of the line ports for moh and made sure that the line was not assigned to a pool, nor have an appearance on any phones. I've connected from a music source using the headphone jack, into my music coupler and out to the line port. I've also used my butt set to monitor the music output from the rca cord, but unable to hear anything. I replaced the rca cord with another one...same results. Could I possibly be using the wrong type rca cord or maybe a bad coupler? Also, should I be able to hear the music output from both the rca and the moh out on the coupler. Thanks.

Most likely it is the coupler. I've never liked those anyway. I prefer to use a Bogen WMT1A.

But, did you check to see if you were getting a signal from the music source directly? (You may know this, but your butt set was not off hook, riight?)

It seems to be the coupler. Just set it up at the lab in my office and bypassed the coupler. Worked fine. I guess thats what I get for not testing my old inventory before going on prem. Thanks Andy, I think I'm going to start stocking the Bogen, cheaper than the coupler.

I have a similiar situation and assume it is the
KS-23395L3 coupler. I can verify music through the RCA jack.

If I plug an analog phone into the rj11 port on the coupler should I hear the music and if not does that imply the coupler is dead?

How does one go about bypassing the KS-23395L3 coupler?
