Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew if a license is required to install telecom equipment in NJ. I know one is needed for fire and burglar alarms, but I have not been able to find much information on telecom. Thanks (sorry if I am in the wrong forum)

The only license that I know of in NJ is a low voltage license. Nothing that I know of for equipment.

Not for the equipment itself. If you do any wiring they have an exemption if you are not an EC. I have the .pdf for the form but I don't have the link from which it came on the State of NJ website. Go there and do a search for "NJ telecommunications exempt app.pdf".
