I just installed a partner mail VS 5. AA 1 has an announcement box with more options. Callers are instructed to press *8 and the extension number. Everything works OK, except *830. For some reason that one goes to "Welcome to Partner Mail VS, please enter extension number and pound sign, otherwise for partner tutor, press *4".
The greeting for that box has been recorded, in fact if you dial 30 at the auto attendant, it takes you to that box and greeting.
It is only from the announcement box that it does this, and the other boxes dialed from the announcement box go straight to the recorded greetings.
Any ideas?
Another question: The boss has extension 10. When someone dials 10 from the auto attendant, it says: "now transferring to the receptionist". How do I fix this? (when transferring to other boxes, it just says "now transferring to that extension")
Besides the obvious, of switching the boss to another extension, is there any way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

#1) Would ext 30 be one of the VM ports? #2) No. You might try using a selector code to go to X10.
What is the lay out and release of your Partner system?

Check if Auto VMS Coverage (#310) is assigned to Ext. 30 - if not, set it to 1-Assigned

Mcdaniel, yes, extension 30 is a voice mail extension.
Touch Tone, will #310 still work out, or should they change extensions?
Macdaniel, using a selector code from aa1 for the boss will eliminate the recording that says: "now transferring to the receptionist" ?
Thanks again

Also, just an FYI, the dial 0 timeout action is set to go to mailbox 40. That has been designated as the general mailbox because the boss doesn't want to get all calls.
Even so, the recording still says transferring to the receptionist when you dial 10.
I guess there is no way to change that like you said Mcdaniel?

Yes, #310 will take care of your first issue.
But No, I just tried using a selector code for the second issue and that doesn't work on a VS R.5.

OK. I'll tell the boss he has to change his extension if he doesn't want to be called "the receptionist".
Thanks again!
