Have a customer that has a avaya / partner acs rls 4.0 processor with 3 - 308 cards and a vs-5 voice mail in a new style 5-slot carrier, The problem is lines 7 & 8, about every 11th or 12th call, the customer can hear the person they where talking to but the person on the other end couldn't hear them, so I took lines 7 & 8 out of the 308 card in slot 2 and swapped them with lines 5 & 6 on the 308 card in slot 1, same problem with the 308 card in slot 2, the problem didn't move with the lines, so I swapped the 308 card in slot 2 with the 308 card in slot 4, same problem with lines 7 & 8 with the new 308 card in slot 2, Now today the problem is on line 1 and line 6 which would be the processor and the 308 card in slot 1 ?????? anybody ever have this problem, could it be the processor or the 5-slot carrier ??????

Also the other problem is it's a pooled system with one 18 btn set and about 28 6 btn sets, so it's hard for the customer to tell me what lines are having the problem, so far I only found these 4

About the only way to really nail down the problem is to spend some time on site checking the lines before and after the system.

I did that, I thought it was telco at first, checked the dmarc, Then I started calling out on all the lines to my voice mail to see which one's would work, that's how I picked up on lines 7 & 8 after about 11 or 12 times, spent about 4 hours on it last night and two more this morning, soon as I left lines 1 and 6 started to act up.

I moved the lines and the problem stayed with the card, I moved the card and the problem stayed with the slot, then after I left they had more problems, she called me on my phone and I could not hear anything, first caller i.d came up the 6th line and the second caller i.d. came up on the 1st line, I called back on the main line and I could hear her, but like I said it happens about the 11th or 12th time you call on that line.

Well, if it did it at the Dmarc then it must be the telco.
How are their lines coming in? Copper, Fiber, T, ect.

They come in on copper, But it didn't do it at the dmarc as far as I know, I tried each line about 12 to 15 times, I couldn't make it happen at the dmarc, that's why I think it's the processor or the 5-slot, because the problem stays with the slot not the line or the card.
