Merlin Magix wih Merlin Messenging. 1 station rings 12 times before going to vm. I checked settings & is the same as sets that ring 4 times before going to voice mail.
Any ideas?

What settings did you checked? Have you checked what settings in the Messaging for that station? Take a look on VM Cover Rings in Extensions set up. Make sure it is the member of Group Cover that covers by 770 VM. I would try to delete MB and recreate it again.

I know deleting MB and recreating it works.
Does anyone know why that is.
Any other ideas, without deleting MB?

If you can post an extension printout for the extension that is taking 12 rings we can look to see if something seems incorrect.

It seems line a phone system problem rather than a mailbox problem.

The VM or system got a power glitch. This is what happened.

Re initialize the VM box.

And how does a mailbox control how many rings before it answers?

The answer is that it doesn't.

It's the phone system that sends the call there.

Do as ttech has asked, print out the extension information, or everyone here is just guessing at the cause of the problem.

I took the ext out of Cover 30 & put it back. Works fine.
