User has a older Partner system with a 308 processor, don't know release. I walked him through conferencing and all it does is put the two calls on hold. To confirm, here's the steps-
make 1st call press conf press line make second call press conf
Now the two calls are on hold. Is this a system issue?
Thanks,
jjimm

It's not a hold. Two indicators changing from Red to Green indicating that Conference established.

I was one of the calls on hold; There was no talk path established. I believe you're correct,Hal, although why Avaya would want to conference inside calls is beyond me. I am wondering if there's a limit on how far back in the releases the #109 works. The is system is pretty old, maybe a 4.1 or 5.1. I haven't been out there yet since customer is trying to save $.
Thanks for the help!

All ACSs from R1. Would have to look but it's probably been with the Partner II and Partner Plus all along also.

If I'm not mistaken wasn't there a peice for the earlier ACS with the conf problems that you had to plug into the line ports to get the conf talk path to work. I recall having to putting them in certain areas of the city that had this very problem due to the providers line conditions.I believe it was the 90A Attenuator.
This is assuming that the program is set up correct.

That was true Russ but it hasn't anything to do with this problem. The attenuator was to eliminatte a squeal when the two COs were bridged.

After you hit conf. the last time , did you press line one again to connect the lines together?
