hello I have just been nominated to fix the phone system in the office since the person who set it up no longer works for us. i have set up voicmail boxes for each extension and some basic programming. The major hurdle for us is the voicemail box that the auto attendant puts after hours calls into is an extension that we no longer need or have room for on the voicemail system. I usually can follow directions with ease even without prior experience but this seems to be a challenge(sometimes challenges are fun; when your boss isn't breathing down your neck ) So if this has been covered in other posts links would be appreciated or directions for this precedure would be great. Thank you. system: P ACS 5.0

If you are using selector codes you can simply redirect which mailbox that selector code points to or if you are using direct extension transfer you can rerecord your AA to reflect the change.

essentially when someone calls; if unanswered the auto attendant offers the caller the option to enter an extension or zero for receptionists at this point zero takes them to ext. 10 we need ext.23.
Thank you

I unfortunately did not set this up so is there an easy way to find out which option I need. I assume we are using direct transfer. We don't have departments or anything; small office.

OK, then we need to know what VM you have. Partner Mail, Partner Mail VS (if it is a VS, need to know which release 1,3,4, or 5), Partner Messaging or the PC card that goes in the ACS PC card slot.

OK, now we are getting somewhere. If you have the PC card VM large or small, you can not change the dial 0/ time out option.
So about all you can do is rerecord your AA and direct people from that. Ex "For the receptionist please press 9 now" And then point selector code 9 to extension 23.
Hope this helps.
