Auto attendant picking up on half a ring. Tied up port 79 and system works ring settings.

Some more information would help us out. I'm assuming that we are talking about a Partner ACS system.

Could you give a quick rundown of the hardware present, the problem and what troubleshooting has been done so far?

I agree. If you were a bit less cryptic maybe we could help you. I have an idea what system you are talking about as well as the messaging system but I want to hear it from you.

ok, yes it is a partner acs system 3 co's 3 extentions when a call comes in on day mode it will give you half a ring and go into an auto attendant. in night mode it does what is a programed to which is ring 3 times then go to auto attendant. If I tie up any of the lines with a call into the system, and call a second line( doesn't matter what co is tied up) the system will ring as programed with 6 rings prior to going to auto attendant. Ext. 78, 79 are vm 79 seems to be the one with the problem

Check #506, if that is OK then reset the system.
