Hey guys,

New here, i've been a Bell Canada residental tech since September.

Just wondering if anyone has any info on Alentron. What they do, what its like to work for them, etc. Anything at all is appreciated.

Thanks!

I thought Alentron was part of Entourage which is part of Bell Canada. I remember back a few years ago they were big in Quebec, never really ran into them in Ontario. Are they still under the Bell wing?

Funny you should mention Alentron.

I just pulled in my driveway and there was a kid from Alentron up a ladder working on something.
He was there before I left and he was there 20 minutes later when I pulled in.
I asked him how it was going and he was short and pissey.
Anyone can have a bad but maybe he's not too happy working for Alentron.

Cheers

I used to work for Alentron a few years ago. They are now a separate company from Entourage (now 100% Bell)and are focused on CATV services. Most of their work is for Cogeco in the Halton region of ontario. I believe they are owned by Alan Bross out of Quebec.

All of the techs are paid piece work and that has allot to do with their "tudes". They love doing new houses as its easy work, and good money....old houses and aerial the work is hard in relation to the money. They also install IP telecom services as well. If you're a hard working you can make good money including taking dog jobs from the lazy techs who just want to go home early.

The director there is Al Skinner....an old entourage manager, as well as an old Bell Business tech manager.
