OK, I have a customer with Nortel Compact. A State Farm Agency. They have been calling the SF home office for several years. Home office is in 863 area code. They are calling from 904 area code. Suddenly one day out of the clear blue calling that area code gets long silence then a fast busy.
Troubleshooting procedure.
1 Called using cell phone-call went right thru.
2 Disconnected line from the Nortel and placed the call from the D-Mark using buttset-Call did not go thru.
3 Went next door to the office and placed call from their line which was a different service provider-Call went right tru.

This must be a service provider issue, Right?

Throw some info my way, i'm lost.

is it the telco or a clec ?

just curios , not really relevant you need to call the provider .

You get the same problem from DEMARC, provider issue.

FDN has been contacted and trouble ticket issued. I'm just getting my ducks in a row for the inevitable response of (must be an issue with in house equipment) which is why I called from the D-Mark with the buttset.
