I'm trying to find a loud bell /light combination unit that is really loud. I was going to try the Universal one that wheelock makes, but i don't think that it will cut it. This is for a printing plant, they have phones at each press and can't hear them. Looking for something to work off of a 24vdc contact closure. Let me know if you can recomend any product.

I have used a combination of a klaxon horn and strobe light (110v) which the customer already had and used an interface from Wheelock, you may find this link to be of some help

I had a customer connect an car alarm horn to radio shack ringer relay. I didn't know they had done this the first time I tested the line and that siren went off I wondered what I had done.

If it was built after 1980 don't expect it to work right.

I have used the Wheelock relay units in combination with a Wheelock or Edwards 120volt AC buzzer or siren.
Another option is the Algo Duet unit with an external paging horn. You can use it for paging as well. Here's the link: https://www.algosolutions.com/products/visual-audible-alerting/1825-Loud-Ringer/

We have had good luck with the Wheelock MTH-24.
You will also need the CRT-T-40 relay.
And it is 24VDC.

The Dees Stinger uses a frequency designed to cut through mechanical noise. I put one in a printing plant and they had me stuff cotton around it, too loud.

They cost almost $200 but I have two on order that were new in the box and at a better price. I'd let you try one on approval, but they haven't come in yet. I don't use anything else but that Dees.
