I have a customer with a Merlin Legend using MLX 10D sets. They use an extension for people to call in sick and leave a message on the Intuity Audix voice mail. They are looking to put in an external indicator for the voice mail that can be seen from 30 feet away in the plant. This is in a manufacturing plant. Has anyone done something like this or have any ideas?

As alawys I appreciate the help. This place is great for all the ingenious ideas some of you have.

If they have analog ports, which the system should have to hook the intuity up, use an analog extension for the mailbox and buy a beehive light from mike sandman.

~Edit~
looks like the beehive is neon and the legend needs LED

We set up call in D-I-D lines for each dept. in our factory. Employee's call their designated phone number which rings on a phone and a buzzer in the area. If no one picks up the caller leaves a message or presses zero for another dept. We don't have a big light but that might not be a bad idea. I just have supervisor in charge of checking these phones through the night.

Thats the problem they are not wanting to go look at the light. I know it's tough.

Bopper That is exactly what I am looking for. I didn't even flip through the Viking catalog. Thanks

You can probably hook up more than 1 in strategic locations but it may get expensive.
