I am preparing to install a Patch for a Partner Mail VS R5. Is the process to install it as simple as power off, insert card, and power on? Then power down and remove the card and check the release via option 7. Are there any steps that I am missing?

Dunno, I never bothered with it. Mike or Tommy would be the ones to ask.

I don't think you will lose your programing on the PMVS, but if you have a back-up card in the mail it wouldn't hurt to back your programing up.
It's been a while since I have flashed one.
You are flashing through a ACS R.6, right?
