How can I determine whether a customer has a 406 v1 or a 406 v2? Also, the customer is using 6.0(14) Manager. What IPO version would that be?

When you open the manager you should see a "Help" toolbox at the top of the screen. Click on it and then click "About" it should give you the details. It's been a while but I seem to recall that's how I did it.

Thanks

6.0 Manager is 4.0 software. But, it isnt wise to go by that, look at SSA or at "control Units" in Manager. Just because an IT guy upgraded the software on a pc doesnt mean that he upgraded the control units.

Generally, I think there is a sticker on the back that says if it is a V1 or V2....

Yes normally the IPO contains the information whether it is V1 or V2 on the sticker which carries the entire information..

If might not carry v1, if it is just IPO406 then it is v1 or else it should have IPO406v2 on it...

6.0 is the release of the manager that is used for administration, we can use it for any release of the IPO which is compatible as per Avaya

All of my instances of dealing with 406s I had the stickers on the buttom of the control unit. Very important is the PCS amount as it tells you how much memory system has.
Hope this helps.

The easiest way for me is to look at the front. 406V1 has only 8 hub ports while 406V2 adds 8 digital station ports and 2 analog station ports.
