Hello all,
I have a partner plus system with R3. version voice mail system. The system is set up as follows. slot-1 is a 6 station 2 line card, slot-2 is a 2 line card only, slot-3 is the page/smdr card, slot-4 is the VM card. currnetly the system is running as your basic 2 incomming lines on all phones. I want to use system VM coverage to answer the two telco lines on ext-10 only.(basically an answer machine) When the VM card is plugged in and I call Int.777 I get a busy. When I call ext 26 or 27 the system answers and say's "Your call is being transfered to the operator". What programs are needed for me to set the VM up to answer the lines after 6 rings when the VM cover button is pressed and how do I get the VM to answer when I dial Int. 777?. Please note that the sytem has been in storage for about a year and has not been defaulted. The VM card is currently not plugged in.

Sounds like the system has defaulted and you have lost the programing for the VM ports.

You will need to assign your VM ports, assign the lines as VM coverage lines and then give ext 10 ownership of the 2 lines.

O.K. ext# 26 and 27 are the two VM ports. What program(s)tells them they are VM coverage lines and what program(s)give ext# 10 ownership and do I do anything with the ringing for ext#10?
