Hi Guys,
I haven't worked on a Lucent in around 10 years .... so I'm pretty rusty on this particular switch....I got a call to check out a Three Cabinet DEFINITY...the problem is MOH ..it seems to be working when the extensions in this " Hotel " put someone on HOLD...but when the attendent's put an outside call on HOLD it doesn't work...just silence....
There are two attendant phones and neither one will produce MOH when an outside call is put on HOLD ....as I said , when a outside call gets transfered to a particular EXT we hear it , or when a Regular phone inside the Hotel puts someone on HOLD , we hear it ...it seems to be just the attendants...???
Very odd...as alway's
Thanks for any help !

Will do , I'll scheck out the tenant group...The customer said it worked before , so I'm guessing it's set up correctly ...the switch has to be 10 + years old...
Every system I've ever worked on had HOLD a system wide feature....so this is kind of a odd problem....

Also check your Class of Restriction for the Attendants. There is an option in there.

After you add or change something press enter and then you should see 'are you sure' then you should be able to press Y or N then press return.

So far .....I've got Music on Hold throughout the system except for the Attn. phones.....The COS and COR are set to yes for all phones in the system including the Attn.s...
then something odd happened ..
We called in ..Hit the speaker button first before hold , then the Hold button ...and it worked ,..then we couldn't duplicate it ...
......the Attn phones are 8434DX models...
So the problem seems to be with the two Attn. phones ..is there any strange codes or procedures that could make the MOH mute ? , or is it something as obvious as a bad phone...my problem is that it's on both Attn phones ,which seems to indicate that it's programming somehow.....since it seems unlikely both would go bad at the same time ...
as alway's
Thanks !
jimy
