Not had much experience with Partners, but I have a good customer with a bad line port (probably a lightening hit). the port is putting a short on the telco line. There are more cabled line ports (12)than numbers working in the system, so I think I'll find a good spare, but will have to reconfigure...
I think I can get the buttons figured out, but one SLT user dials 9 to assess this tel number outgoing, and receives the call when that line rings. Sooooo I think I have to change ports in the trunk group and re-direct incomming calls on the new port.
Never done this - any advice??

What cards are in the system. Can you swap the module with the bad port with the last module in the system? You may get by without having to do any programming.

It's a simple key system. Use #301 to first remove the bad line from each extension, then use it again to assign the replacement line. It will automatically go in the same place as the bad one, with Immediate Ring. The just added line will be at the end of the automatic (outbound) line selection sequence, so change it if you want. The S/L user won't really be affected, he will still dial 9, and the replacement line will be the last choice, unless you change him as well.
Remember to change any settings like AA assignment, coverage, and rings before answering, based on the new CO line number.
