I have set up autodial with a pause on my Merlin Legend 8102 to access voice mail with 1 button. When I try to do the same on an MLX-10D it dials the 770 but nothing after that. The 8102 pauses and even though voice Mail has answered it continues on with the extension # and Password. But the MLX stops dialing when the voice Mail answers. It seems as if it just stops dialing rather than pausing. Any ideas ? ...Rich

You are speaking applesauce and orange juice here.
The 8102 is an ANALOG SET and sends it's own touch tones.
The MLX is a digital set and does not really send touch tones, thus when you dial voice mail with a speed dial button, your are in fact using a DIGITAL SIGNAL, and your dialing sequence is complete once voice mail answers. No touch tones for you!
The MLX appears to send touch tones with outside speed dial calls, but in fact, the touch tones come from the processor.
