Sounds like it defaulted and you need to set your VM ports up.

If the processor has a back-up/restore PCMCIA card inserted into one of the slots AND the stored configuration is the same as the one that was lost due to the power failure, you can load the configuration back into the processor from that PCMCIA card. :thumb:

I would assume if you had a Backup and Restore card the installer would have set it to auto update so it should have current config. I hope for your sake.If not you can call me and together we can figure it out but there would be a charge to walk you through the programming.

Also you should have gotten a cd with the manuals if your installer was so kind to leave you one.

The bigger question is why it lost it's programming to begin with. It shouldn't have done that if the memory retention batteries were good. Do you have display phones at either or both extensions 10 and 11? If so and the batteries were low you would get the message "replace batteries with power on" on the displays in plenty of time to have them replaced.

Yeah, you can reprogram and get things working but you need to solve this problem first otherwise you are going to wind up like this every time your power hickups

I know there was a problem with the R7 ACS', where even with batteries installed upon ppower outage, the system would default. Did that go to the R6 as well?

Just a thought, though I think this only applied to the R7's

That problem, from what I've read here on Sundance, did not affect the R6 or the R8. As Hal mentioned, the 2 AAA batteries, if they were in good condition, should have kept the programming intact during the power failure.

I might suggest purchasing a good UPS to keep the system up & running during brief power outages.

UPS's are a life saver. I've seen MANY Partner installs where the 'business partner' didn't install a backup pc card. And if they did, it was NOT configured for auto backup nor was the initial config ever saved once programmed. Sad but true.

Yeah, the memory problem on power down was only on a select few R.7's. Mainly "E's"
