I have a customer with Optimum Voice for his CO lines. We are installing a new IP Office 500 V2.

Each line shows it's individual line number on outgoing calls. The customer wants his main number to go out on all calls.

I called Optimum to get it done on their side and they said they can't do it.

My question is: If I send *67 (private call)out on each call and insert the main number will the inserted number be suppressed by the network.

How should I program it in the IP 500?

All comments appreciated!

If these are pots lines, the IP Office can not send caller ID. But you can have the provider set up caller ID to show the main number on all trunks.

If this is a PRI, you can tell the system to send the main number. There was a post on that a few days ago explaining it, so I will not explain, unless you let us know if this is in fact a PRI.

Thanks,
They are POTS lines from a cable modem.
The vendor claims they can't do the same number on all lines.
But, since I can't do it either, and they can't justify a PRI, I guess the customer will have to settle for what Optimum gives them.
Appreciate the info.

I apologize I'm a newbie to this posting as well as to posting in general. I am looking for Merlin Legend Help. Specificaly programming an MLX-10D so the user picks up on a specific line everytime they pick up the handset. Right now this one phone has NO LED lit so they have to chose a line after they pick up the handset. Where as on my phone the first line button, after the two ICOM buttons, is already orange. Is this the right place to ask this question? Can you point me to the correct place if not? Thank You for any help.

Hey Bob!!

You're in the right forum, but it's always better to start a NEW post for a new subject by clicking on [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com] at the top or bottom of the page.

Anyway, you will need to program either Auto Line Select, or Line Preference for that extension. Start a new topic, and I will be happy to give some guideance.
