My problem started in May of 2009: Merlin Legend 7.0 with Merlin Messaging Rel 4.0. Incoming Calls go to the extension Voice Mail box without ringing at times.
I have made post for help on this problem in the past and have receive some replies and have try all the remedies that have been posted and nothing has work. Perhaps new solutions are available. The voice mail problem started after I change the system from Key to Pool/hybrid. I have check the Cover Delay programming for all the extensions and they are set to 5. The Voice Mail has 8 Ports. 2 New Co lines were also added to the voice Mail System.
Group Calling Members (770) 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49
Moderators have suggested checking the DNDS, CF into 770. None of those suggestions clear the problem.
Can I get some help please? I am a Tech.

Are they random exts or known one? Maybe its happened when Ext busy? I will make sure there are no members in Cover Delay hunt group.

It happends at any ext and happends when the phone is idle, not in use. When it is in use it should ring a few times to give the user the option to answer by placing the other caller on hold. I will be on site tomorrow and check the members in the cover delay hunt group. Thanks very much for your reply. Any other Merlin Legend techs have any thoughts about this?

Is this manual transfer or AA transfer? I assume that call been answered by Reception? And in previous respond I meant Overflow Group not a Cover Delay. Sorry. If you have all exts rings then maybe it is DND problem at time of calls. If I would you I will delete all DND buttons if you have any programmed and see what happened..

Try calling an extension versus calling the DID for the extension. Any difference? Pull extension info reports on those 8 VM port extensions. pull calling group report on 770. Look for anything unusual. Feel free to email the reports to me. In Merlin Messaging make sure all 8 ports answer in voice mail when you call them individually.

This is a AA transfer, no DND buttons are program. In Merlin Messaging all 8 ports answer in voice mail when I call them individually.*** The problem does occur all the time *** I will pull the call group report on 770 and get back to you. I really do appreciate all of the help/ replys.

wmr,...... It really isn't the purpose of this board to give step by step instuctions for installers or administrative programing of any system.
If you are still having issues, I recommend you either contact your local Avaya Business Partner or contact any one of the moderators here on the board. But either way, be prepared to pay a fee for their expertise.
